Every day leading up to your wedding, I'm here for you. Photographing over 200 weddings over the past 12 years has taught me a lot about all things weddings, and I'm here to walk alongside you during the planning process in any way you need. Think of me as a friend and sounding board who will always tell you to trust your gut.
Your only job on your wedding day is to marry your person and have the day/night of your life with your favorite people. I'll be there to document all of it and make sure your photos reflect your day in all of its uniqueness. You'll receive your photos in 4 weeks in a private online gallery that can be shared with family, friends, and the interwebs.

There's nothing I love more than documenting the intimacy and connection between two people. Whether you want a rustic vibe at the top of a mountain, a cozy in-home session, a glam look on the city streets, or a fiery session in a pool, bathtub, or in the bedroom, your session will be tailored to you.
Sessions are generally 90 minutes to two hours. If you're a little camera shy, I've got you. Let's meet up early for a pre-session drink, blast your favorite music and become best friends.

Whether you're starting a business and need killer branding headshots or suddenly realized you haven't had family photos done in years, this is for you. Whatever it is, I'd love to tell your family's story, document your big (or ordinary) life moments, or give you a reason to pamper yourself and have photos taken to show your grandkids one day.
Portrait sessions are generally 90 minutes but can be tailored to your needs. For boudoir sessions, please inquire through the contact form and I'll give you all the info.

HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY FILES?
All portrait and wedding collections include high-resolution retouched images delivered via private online gallery. The images are downloadable and I strongly encourage (cough, demand) you back them up. A print release will be provided if you need one. Most online labs don't require one, but I'm happy to email you one if you're printing at a brick and mortar. Print those pictures!

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY IMAGES?
Great question! For portrait sessions, my turnaround time is usually two weeks. For weddings and elopements, it's 4-6 weeks.

DO YOU WORK OUTSIDE OF VIRGINIA?
Though I'm based in Northern Virginia, I will travel to your wedding destination! Plenty of my couples travel to me for their engagement photos from other states, some to take advantage of my proximity to Washington, D.C.

WILL YOU POSE US?
My style is heavily focused on real moments but there will be some posing. I don't want to make you do anything that feels forced or uncomfortable. Though there are certain circumstances that call for more traditional posing, the goal is to create together. I'll give you prompts throughout the shoot to keep you moving and interacting with each other with the focus being on the connection between you.
Your family will get their traditional photo of you for the mantle, but I will mainly work with you to capture the real moments, the in-between.

When you book a session with me, I send over a Session Guide that includes tips for choosing your wardrobe. But send me photos of your closet strewn across your bed or your reflection in the dressing room mirror - I'm here to help!

can i have the raw/unedited photos?
I love you but the answer to that will always be no. I believe a lot of the magic that goes into images is how they're edited, and without this huge step, they're only halfway done. If I provide you with a photo in black and white, I've made a conscious choice to edit it in that way, but I'm happy to provide a color version if you'd like one.
